2919 Mountain Grove Road
The Sanctuary at Mountain Grove is located
between the towns of Franklin and Sylva (near Western Carolina
University), some 60 miles west of the city of Asheville,
NC and 125 miles from Atlanta, GA (see the map below).
| From
Franklin:
- Go to the 441 by pass.
Look for Wal-Mart on east side.
- From Wal-Mart go south on 441 by pass to first exit
(1/4 mile) to Hwy. 64 south towards Highlands.
- Go 2 miles south on Hwy. 64 to Cullasaja (look for
fire department / Cullasaja Elementary School).
- Turn left on Ellijay Road (NC-1001).
Go 7.2 miles up Ellijay Road (enjoy the view of the
beautiful mountains, pastures, creeks and waterfalls
along the way).
- Look for Mountain Grove Baptist Church and Mountain
Grove Road.
- Stay left onto Mountain Grove Road.
- For The Sanctuary at Mountain Grove, go 3 miles
to "main gate" (second entrance).

From Sylva:
- Take Hwy. 107 south past Western
Carolina University.
- Go to second traffic light
and turn right on Speedwell Road/Cullowhee Mountain
Road.
- Go 1 mile turn right onto Tilley
Creek Road.
- Stay on Tilley Creek Road for
7 miles. Tilley Creek becomes NC-1001/Ellijay Road
once you cross into Macon County.
- Look for Mountain Grove Baptist
Church and Mountain Grove Road.
- Turn right on Mountain Grove
Road.
- For The Sanctuary at Mountain
Grove, go 3 miles to "main gate" (second
entrance).
